Forging Partnerships with Campus Organizations to Promote the Career Clarifier
Building partnerships with campus organizations can be a very effective way to expand your reach and grow your income because you’ll have several (or many) people promoting the assessment on your behalf.
Better yet, if the collaboration is successful, it's likely you'll be able to partner with the organization again, the same school year or the next year. Repeating collaborations will help you to reach more and more students while growing your income with less effort.
As a reminder, Career Clarifier pays the collaborating organization 50% of all sales revenue, and the Campus Ambassador receives another 25% of all sales revenue!
We're here to help you with partnerships! If you have any questions or need assistance to approach or sign up a partnership organization, please email Jeff @ CareerClarifier.com.
Here's a step-by-step guide to identifying organizations, establishing contact, and successfully pitching collaboration:
Identify Organizations
Begin by researching the various student organizations on campus. Consider groups related to professional development, student support, personal growth, and community service. Organizations that are known for conducting fundraising activities can also be a great match.
Also, consider the organizations that you and your friends are already members of or have affiliations with on campus. These personal connections can be a valuable starting point.
You can also reach out to friends and peers for suggestions. They may be part of organizations that you haven't considered, and their insights can lead you to new opportunities for collaboration.
For each potential partner organization, identify their student leaders and contact information.
Craft Your Pitch
Develop a clear and concise pitch that outlines the benefits of creating a partnership with you. For many organizations, the ability to raise money for their organization, while supporting the success of their members will be very appealing.
Ideally, figure out how promoting Career Clarifier can add value to the mission, activities, and members of the organization.
Contacting Organizations
Personal Introduction
Leveraging your personal connections can be a highly effective way to reach out to campus organizations and establish initial contact.
Start by identifying mutual contacts you have with members or leaders of the target organization. These can be friends, classmates, or acquaintances who are already involved with the organization. Reach out to your mutual contacts and ask if they would be willing to introduce you to the organization's leadership or key members. A warm introduction from someone they already know can be more compelling than a cold outreach.
Introductory Email
If you don’t have a personal connection on introduction to an organization, draft a personalized email introducing yourself as a student at your school and campus ambassador for Career Clarifier. In the email, briefly explain the benefits of the Career Clarifier Test, your proposed partnership, and the benefits (e.g. community service, fundraising) for the organization. In your email, be sure to request a meeting (in person, over a video call, or via phone) to discuss the opportunity more and answer their questions. Here's a sample email:

The Pitch Meeting
Introduction: Begin the meeting by introducing yourself and your role as a campus ambassador.
Value Proposition: Present the benefits of the Career Clarifier Test for students and explain how it aligns with their organization's goals and values. Explain the financial benefits to the organization (they will get paid 50% of all sales generated by their members).
Be prepared to explain how sales and revenues are tracked using a unique URL link that can be used on social media, texts, emails, and the organization’s website. NOTE: Please DO NOT give them your affiliate URL – if you do, there will be no way to track their sales separately from yours and you will not what commissions they earned. (When you sign the organization up in your dashboard portal it will provide a unique URL link just for their organization. Of course, the staff at Career Clarifier are happy to help you with this step.)
Collaboration Ideas: Suggest specific ways the organization can collaborate with you, such as promoting Career Clarifier to their members and their members’ networks. If the organization has a website, it can add a link to an existing webpage or create a new webpage specifically for this. Be open to their suggestions and ideas for collaboration. If you enjoy public speaking, you can offer to do a short presentation about Career Clarifier at one of their meetings. Tailor your proposal to fit their needs and preferences.
Address Questions: Answer any questions or concerns the organization may have. If you don’t know the answer to a question, tell them you’ll get the information and follow up with them.
Follow-Up: After the meeting, send a follow-up email thanking them for their time and reiterating the discussed points. Include a proposed action plan and timeline for collaboration.
Signup the Organization
Once the organization agrees to collaborate, have them sign up as your affiliate (click here for instructions).
Collaboration Execution
Once the organization agrees to collaborate, work closely with them to execute the plan. Feel free to give them product photos (Click here to access them), help them create promotional materials, and ensure clear communication throughout the process.
Evaluate and Celebrate
After the collaboration, evaluate its success. Celebrate achievements. Collect feedback from the organization about what went well and what could be done better next time.
Maintain Relationships
Stay in touch with the organizations even after the collaboration ends. Building long-term relationships can lead to future partnerships this year or next school year.
How To Signup a Partnership Organization as Your Subaffiliate
Log in to your ambassador portal and click on "Signup Subaffiliates" on the left menu.
On the Signup Subaffiliates page, copy the link (highlighted in yellow) under "Signup New Affiliates" and email or text the link to the partnering organization. This link is automatically coded to register any organization (or person) who completes the form as your subaffiliate.
They will receive 50% of all revenues for Career Clarifier assessments they sell, and you will receive 25% of all revenues for Career Clarifier assesments they sell.
After the partnering organization completes its application and Career Clarifier approves it (usually within 24 hours), you can click on "Subaffiliate List" in the left menu and you will see the partnering organization listed.
